Dover Transport Museum
Dover Transport Museums extensive buildings are set in two acres of attractive grounds and contain more than 50 road vehicles, many of them set in period street and shop scenes containing interesting bygones.
Exhibits range from a “penny-farthing” bicycle to a double deck bus.
A large model railway, several working exhibits, a Romany caravan and a steam roller are amongst the items on display.
Outside there is a full size steam locomotive and a number of smaller quarry engines, together with some interesting machinery and even a fully kitted out Anderson shelter.
A number of special events are held during the year, when it may be possible to ride on an open top bus or other vintage vehicles, please see our website for details.
The Museum is open from 29th March 2014 to the end of October 2014 on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays - 10.30 - 5 p.m.
Last entry 4:15pm
